Uptiles have recently ventured to Italy to attend the annual
world famous tile fair held in Bologna at the end of September.
The tile fair displays the latest in technology and design with new
release ranges such as chevron timber with mixed natural stone
and large format concrete slabs showcased to the tiling industry.

With such a great result from this year’s event we want to extend a huge thanks
to the generous sponsors, supporters and all who attended the 2015 Construction
Industry Alliance Charity Golf Day. With the downpour and flash floods from the
previous week there was a little worry for the condition of the green, however the
sun was shining and it was perfect day at Keperra Golf Course. In total there were
140 players taking on a competitive round of 18 holes.

Kai, who has Cerebral Palsy, thanks to Variety supporters, was the
recipient of an iPad to assist with his communication. We wanted
to share with you a heartfelt message from Kai’s mother, Raylene:
Having the opportunity, to be given an iPad, will open the world of
communication for Kai & allow him to speak for himself. If it wasn’t for
all the people & businesses who donate to Variety, we wouldn’t have
this choice or ability to give Kai this chance. To see his face light up and
to sit back & watch him playing games, listening to music, independently,
it just makes me all warm & fuzzy inside, if that makes sense. Seeing the
smile and joy he has can brighten the dullest day. But most importantly,
it shows HIM that he can do things for himself and that HE can have a
voice. We cannot wait to see where this latest journey of discovering
communication will take us.

Kera Cut features a single piece sliding guide, is lightweight (30kg)

Uptiles General Manager Trent Spencer has recently returned from an
exciting visit to Sri Lanka where he visited Rocell Group, one of Uptiles
premium tile producers. Resulting from a heavy amount of investment
into research, development and new technology, Rocell Group are now
able to manufacture 900×450 mm sized porcelain tiles.
These impressive sized porcelain tiles are available in a range of colours
and finishes, suiting both internal and external applications. The first
stock of these new tiles are now available at Uptiles Strathpine – be sure
to visit Queensland’s most award tile showroom
and see these new tiles for yourself.
Trent’s expedition did not end at Rocell Group,
travelling to another of their leading producers,
Lanka Tiles. With input from the team at Uptiles,
Lanka Tiles have developed a new range of
600×600 floor tiles in that are available in gloss,
matt and matching external. These new tiles are
also complemented with a matching range of wall
tiles from Lanka Walls Tiles Pty ltd. All these tiles
and more are now on display at Uptiles Strathpine.
